We’re hiring – Export controller.
Duty Location -Beira, Sofala, Mozambique
Outline of Duties & Responsibilities:
* Liaise with stakeholders- Border Agents, Receiving Depots, Clients Port Agents and Despachantes (Customs Brokers) as well as the J&J Beira Port Office – on issues pertaining to Export Shipments.
* Attend and provide solutions to Export cargo queries ex-sub-contractors, Clients and Agents and maintain a positive and professional relationships between all parties.
* Liaise with Clients including JJ-Lusaka and JJ-Harare to acquire Export Cargo documentation for shipments proceeding to Beira whether from DRC, Zambia or Zimbabwe.
* Control the despatch of required Export Cargo Documentation Port Agents for Mozambican Customs Clearance, by liaising with J&J Harare and J&J Lusaka, loading points as well as receiving depots and Port Agents.
* Ensure documentation for Export shipments have been received by the responsible clearing Beira Port Agent.
* Control the preparation of Mozambique Transit Cargo documentation of Export shipments before vehicles arrival at entry borders into Mozambique (especially Forbes/Machipanda Border);
* Control the uploading of Customs documentation received pertaining to Export Cargo Movements into FMS (Freight Management System) and distribute to responsible border agents for ease of vehicle release.
* Ensure that Receivers are prepared to receive Export shipments on vehicles arrivals in Beira.
* Ensure that for Containerized Export Shipments, once the relevant Mozambique Transit Documentation has been secured, the Port Agents are prepared in advance, and forward relevant Port entry documentation, such as Kudumba Scanner Receipts and Cornelder Bookings.
* Control the preparation of documentation in advance so it is ready for collection by driver on arrival at Beira.
* Ensure that Export Cargo is discharged at the correct receiving depot/warehouse.
* Attend to issues at offloading points in Beira.
* Meet Client needs by sending frequent/daily updates for Export Shipment Movements.
* Liaise with drivers and sub-contractor representatives in Beira to perform real-time “System Deliveries”.
* Attend to Trip related issues such as breakdowns, load-shifts and accidents, and liaise with relevant departments for resolution.
* Provide professional all-round service to both small and large Clients.
* Report to Management/Legal and HR Departments deviation from regulations and acts of misconduct by staff, take disciplinary action against subordinates, and participate in corrective management processes including disciplinary proceedings.
